About Mert Erkal, CEO of Stradiji

I co-founded Stradiji in 2010. We’re a digital marketing company that provides SEO and app store optimization (ASO) services to 10+ companies. Our clients include companies like www.teb.com.tr, www.cepteteb.com.tr, and www.koalay.com. In my role as general manager and certified Search Experience Optimizer, I recruit and manage the SEO team, develop the strategic vision, and evangelize for SEO and Stradiji in Turkey. Before cofounding Stradiji, I worked in marketing for Maersk Line. I also blogged professionally, which is where I discovered SEO.

The importance of search visibility

I started out with Moz.com. I was pretty inexperienced and found it quite helpful. As I learned more, I experimented with other tools like Rank Tracker, Deep Crawl, Raven, and WooRank. With Searchmetrics, it’s easy to keep track of client performance on a country basis. We create dashboards for our clients, which provide workflows that ensure we stay on track with their particular SEO objectives. We send these dashboards to team members and to clients at specific intervals.

We also create various performance reports for different departments, such as technical reports for client IT teams, a growth report for C-level executives, or social media content performance reports for a client’s social media team.
