F.A.Z.-Institut selects Searchmetrics as "Role Model in Diversity 2022"

Extensive DEI measures secure the search data provider a top spot in the software company category.

Berlin, 14.11.2022 – As part of its extensive DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) program, the renowned F.A.Z.-Institut named Searchmetrics a “Role Model in Diversity and Diversity 2022”. Out of a total of 20,000 largest German companies participating, Searchmetrics emerged as one of the few winners in the category of software companies. The term diversity is understood to mean the commonalities and differences of the workforce based on individual personality traits as well as lifestyles or designs. This includes both visible and invisible characteristics.

Measuring DEI performance
The decisive factor for the jury was not only the firm anchoring and the explicit commitment to the DEI principles of a value-based corporate culture proclaimed in the “Diversity Charter”. The measurement of DEI performance also covered action-oriented areas such as the internal communication of DEI measures to the entire workforce, regular awareness-raising among managers and employees, and ongoing training opportunities.

Convincing implementation of DEI measures
Especially due to the practical implementation of the DEI measures Searchmetrics convinced the jury of the F.A.Z.-Institut. Diversity is not only part of the company’s guidelines, employees and managers are regularly sensitized for the topic of diversity. This is done, for example, through high-quality training programs. These include training courses that reduce unconscious bias and lead to more reflective decisions – for example in the area of human resources.

DEI strategy manifests high diversity value
Last but not least, the high value placed on diversity, equality and inclusion in the company is manifested in the form of a long-term DEI strategy. In particular, it is dedicated to diverse recruiting and diversity-oriented HR development.

One of the goals is for half of the management level to be made up of female managers by 2025. The installation of a Diversity Officer and a DEI Council has already been implemented. They act as moral authorities and provide advice in the event of violations as trusted contacts.
